Dangerous Goods Training
Our Nationally Accredited Training Course TLID2003 Handle Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances covers all aspects of Chemical Safety in the workplace within one nationally accredited course.
Its covers the key areas of handling, storage, warehousing, packed transport and emergency response.
The course is designed for all people who work with chemicals in the workplace and has been well received by major mining companies, oil and gas projects plus universities, hospitals, shire councils and logistics warehouse operations.
It can help managers, supervisors and operators understand key regulatory requirements of chemical safety and understand key principles and activities of best practice systems.
Some of our key Clients like the fact that the course is flexible to allow design into specific chemicals that are used on site, whilst maintaining the core principles of chemical safety for Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances. We can thus create and deliver Custom Design Accredited Training.
In 2018 we have added some key information into the course to cover the Global Harmonisation System that is now recognised in Australia which highlighted some new labelling and safety data sheet requirements and is contained in the pending WHS Regulations. We review how this relates to Dangeorus Goods in the workplace.
Our Course is 5 hours in duration and is broken down into 4 separate modules covering all the key safety aspects of Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances from a Storage and Handling perspective. It also covers in detail how to manage a Chemical Spill with the correct equipment and PPE requirements. The course also covers the Packed Transport requirements of Dangerous Goods in detail.
